About Stella Maris School

Stella Maris is nestled in a conservation area in a Victorian Grade II listed building opposite St John’s church. The building is picturesque and school life follows the beauty of the location.

Seeing is believing and we would love to show you round so you can understand the magic of the school. We understand that it isn’t a huge school with large on site facilities, this school is for parents who want the best in pastoral care where the teacher will really see your child and work with them as individuals to be the best little person they can be whilst building great friendships and having fun.

The children develop at their own speed but we have an unrivalled success rate of getting your child into their secondary school of choice. This is done by building up the knowledge and skills required from the moment they start. The children aren’t aware that they are being prepared for the 11+ and when the exam arrives they are so well prepared it often just feels like a weekends homework. There is no sudden increase in pace and pressure through Year 5 and 6 they continue to develop so they are relaxed and ready to go which is why our results stand out.
