Monkton Combe School was founded in 1868 by the Reverend Francis Pocock as an Evangelical Anglican boys' school in the village of Monkton Combe, just south of Bath, Somerset, in the Avon Valley. The school became co-educational in 1995 and today educates around 644 pupils with a substantial boarding population. The Principal is Chris Wheeler. The school is a member of the HMC and the Boarding Schools Association. The school's riverside Avon location supports a strong rowing programme.
